About Nina

Nina Perović (1985) is a Montenegrin composer whose work spans acoustic and electro-acoustic music, from orchestral and chamber pieces to theater, film, and multimedia projects. Her compositions explore the dialogue between tradition and contemporary expression, creating soundscapes that are both intimate and expansive.

Education and Academic Work

She studied composition at the Faculty of Music in Cetinje, Montenegro, and continued her education through advanced programs and artistic research in contemporary music. Nina is currently engaged as a professor of composition and related subjects at the Music Academy in Cetinje, where she inspires and mentors new generations of musicians.

Compositional Output

Her portfolio includes works for symphony orchestra, chamber ensembles, solo instruments, electro-acoustic compositions, theater and film music, as well as music for children. Nina’s works have been performed at numerous international festivals and concerts across Europe and beyond.

In addition to her teaching and composing, Nina is an active member of professional associations and cultural institutions in Montenegro. Her creative and academic work reflects a deep commitment to advancing the role of contemporary music within the broader cultural landscape.
